These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SelectEd, operated by Santrupta Mishra, based in Melbourne, Australia. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using SelectEd as a guest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
SelectEd is an AI-powered exam preparation tool covering AMC, Maths Olympiad, ACER selective school prep, ICAS, ATAR, NAPLAN, Bebras, Kangourou sans Frontières (KSF), and state Selective School Tests (NSW Selective High School Placement Test, the Victorian Selective Entry High School exam, Queensland Academies selection, WA's Academic Selective Entrance Test, and SA's IGNITE/HAST). It uses AI to generate practice questions, explanations, and mock exams. SelectEd is an independent preparation platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the organisations that administer these assessments.
You must be 18 years or older to create a parent account. SelectEd is intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian who creates and manages the account, sets up child profiles, and is responsible for billing.
Child profiles log in with a name and PIN set by the parent and do not have access to account or billing settings.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and child PINs secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
SelectEd offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription (monthly or annual), billed in Australian dollars via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted through Stripe Checkout.
New Premium subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Your payment method is collected upfront but not charged until the trial ends. You may cancel any time before the trial ends, from your parent dashboard or the Stripe billing portal, to avoid being charged.
After the trial (or for renewals), your subscription automatically renews each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

SelectEd’s questions, explanations, and feedback are generated by AI (Anthropic’s Claude models) and, while calibrated to specific exams and year levels, may occasionally contain errors. SelectEd is a study aid, not a substitute for a qualified teacher or tutor, and we do not guarantee any particular exam outcome, score, or admission result from using the service.
The SelectEd name, branding, and platform are owned by us. You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as chat messages), and grant us a licence to process it solely to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SelectEd is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using SelectEd and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including attempts to abuse rate limits or usage gating. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice first.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of SelectEd after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
